- Brief introduction: WiMi is the first 60 GHz testbed with a reconfigurable RF front-end and software defined baseband processing modules. It is intended as an instrument to spur the research in 60 GHz super-high speed communications and fine-grained millimeter-wave sensing applications.
The PI team has developed M-Cube, a massive MIMO mmWave software radio, which is open source and available at low-cost.
- Reconfigurable radio: Programmable baseband (any modulation);Reconfigurable RF front-end (Tx/Rx gain, RF frequency/bandwidth, Tx power);Multi-band operations: 2.4GHz, 5GHz, 60GHz simultaneously
- Reconfigurable antennas: Programmable, electronically steerablephased-array antenna; Steerable horn antennas (standard WR-15 waveguideinterface); Emulated phased array based on multiple omni-directional antennaelements
- 02/2021, MilliPoint paper accepted to IMWUT/UbiComp'21.
- 01/2020, The PI team has developed M-Cube, a massive MIMO mmWave software radio, which is open source and available at low-cost. For details, please check the M-Cube project website.
- 06/2018, Inkput paper accepted to ACM MobiCom'18.
- 06/2017, MUST (MobiCom'17) uses WiFi to improve stability of mmWave networks.
- 10/2016, OpenMili (WiMi 2.0) is open-source now! The hardware platform costs about $15k (excluding PC host and antennas). A new version will be available by the end of Nov., costing below $10k. Below is a comparison of available millimeter-wave software radios:
The OpenMili hardware schematics are described in our MobiCom'16 paper, and its source code is available now for downloading!By downloading the software, you accept the following terms:(i) The software is for non-commercial use only (see details in the license file).
